You Can Look Like A Celebrity Mom!

Do you have a favorite celeb mom? One that you would love to be friends with or mimic her style? I do. Actually, I have a couple. Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock. I love their easy going personalities and laid back style. And I would love to copy their style! So how can I (and you!) look like a celeb mom? Here are tips from some styling experts.

Work With What You Got

You may not have the time or desire to put on a full face of makeup every day, but you can work with what you got. Play up your best feature — if you have beautiful eyes, apply some eyeliner and mascara to automatically draw eyes to your eyes. Do you have great legs? Show them off!

Simple Is Best

Let’s face it, Angelina Jolie does not get up everyday and get prepped to look like she does at the Emmys.

It will definitely save you time and stress. All you need is a base of foundation to cover up any imperfections, a little blush for your cheeks and a nude lipstick or good old lip gloss.

Copy Your Fave Celeb’s Look

If you love the look that your favorite celebrity has on in the most recent issue of PEOPLE, why not recreate it? Sure you may not be able to afford designer fashions, but you can find similar looking pieces in your price range. Don’t be afraid to try a new look! If you decide to splurge on a designer item, make sure it’s a piece that you can wear with many other things; don’t buy a hot pink skirt that you can only wear with one shirt. Splurge on items you can wear daily (or weekly), like jeans.

Focus, Focus!

Everybody knows how important accessories are, but don’t overdo it. If you are going to carry an oversized handbag, don’t also wear big, chunky bracelets and cover-half-your-face sunglasses. Sometimes, less really is more!

Solids Are A Good Thing

Not all of us can or want to pull off huge bold prints or crazy color schemes. And there isn’t anything wrong with that. You see a lot of celeb moms who stick to black or neutral tones. Solid colors are so easy to mix n’ match, but if you are looking for a little more flair than just one solid color, why not try a top with ruching or gathering on the side to complement the waistline? Or try fabrics with a hint of shimmer.

So there you have it! Easy ways that you can dress like your favorite celebrity mom! Do you have any fun fashion or style tips to share?

What good little tips as we move into fall. Now if I could just find a way to try on jeans with my crazy kiddos, I’d be ok :)

Like Angela said, it’s finding the TIME to shop and pick out cute, flattering pieces that is the hard part! That, and not actually having the gorgeous bone structures and petite good looks of our fave celebrities …. :)

My face is so pregnant looking, that a dab of makeup simply doesn’t cut it.
Sometimes, more is more. But I agree with you on the accessories.

GREAT little do-able tips. I’m not much of a star watcher but this caught my eye since as I mentioned before (I think?) I def need fashion help. Right now I’m channeling my new (thanks Netflix) Mad Men obsession with red lipstick. And Henny! I don’t know you but you are making a PERSON! That is what your beautiful face looks like. Spoil yourself a little. Even if it is jsut with a night of beauty at home. (or a naptime of beauty if you already have kidlets!)
