Valentine’s Day Gifts for Kids

I like to get my kids little gifts on Valentine’s Day. As I have said before, I think that it is a great opportunity to take a “romantic, adults only” type holiday and make it family friendly – a time when everyone knows how much they are loved and appreciated.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Spouses

Last year I made a Valentine’s Day gift for my husband that I was especially proud of. He had to take a picture and show it to everyone he came in contact with for weeks after he got it.

What was it? A bacon bouquet. It looked like six roses stuffed into a vase at first glance, but each “rose” was actually a strip of thick-cut bacon that had been wrapped up and baked in a muffin tin into the shape of a rose. Read more…

It’s All About The Chocolate

Okay, so maybe chocolate isn’t as much of the go-to Valentine’s Day gift it used to be. It’s been replaced by gadgetry. I’d definitely prefer an iPad over a box of chocolate.
