It’s Fashion Week in NYC this week and while I don’t consider myself a fashionista or trendsetter in even the slightest of ways, I have always wanted to sit sidelines at real fashion show. Mostly so that I can fawn over the celebs, but also to be one of the first to see what comes down the runway before it is knocked off and on the racks at my favorite local department store.
The entire fashion industry congregates in New York February 9-16 for Fashion Week in hopes of trying to figure out what American women are going to want to wear and purchase this spring.

With Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2011 finally wrapped up, I’ve had a chance to check out some of the trends you can expect to see, and some of these will make us moms very happy (and more comfortable!).
Last week I mentioned 3 Designers Who Create Fashions That Moms Can Actually Wear, and their fashions definitely didn’t disappoint at Fashion Week. Some of their styles were my favorites that I saw coming down the runway. But what I noticed from many designers is that longer, looser fabrics are in . . . and so are prints and colors.
