Yippee, summer is finally here! Hip hip hurray! Three cheers for summer. Can you sense a theme here? I’m happy it’s summer.

Like many of you, my family is hitting the pool or beach (possibly both) this weekend, but before we do, I’m stocking up on these favorite [and CHEAP - most under $15.00!] summertime drugstore treasures.

First and foremost, you gotta have sunscreen! I’ve shared it with you before and probably will again, my favorite is Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunblock Spray SPF 50 ($11.00). I love the convenience of using sunscreen in a can and this one is awesome, especially on days when you are in and out of water. Using a super water-resistant technology in a convenient spray form makes this spray the easiest and safest way to stay protected while being active.

I LOVE toe nail maintenance season and trust me, you can not go wrong with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Colors ($4.59). One stroke. One coat. Done. It really is that simple and comes in a boat load of bright summer shades. Flashy Fuschia is shown below.

Three weeks into using Schick Quattro’s TrimStyle Razor and Bikini Trimmer ($10.99), and I am very impressed and have yet to be nicked. Shave as you normally would with one end and use the other end to do a little landscaping. Genius! And WAY less painful than a bikini wax.

Smith’s Rosebud Salve ($5.59) is a diverse little tin of wonderfulness. This summer must-have can not only be used for lips and face, you can also use it on dry or chapped skin as well.

Sometimes it can be hard to get your feet 100 percent smooth, especially the heels, but you can use a little of Smith’s Rosebud Salve on them with some socks at night and wake up to softer tootsies. Since hiding your feet during the summer is not an option, be sure to add Smith’s Rosebud Salve to your summer essentials list.

Sexy, beachy, wind blown, just rolled out of bed hair is definitely IN right now and if spending an afternoon at the actual beach doesn’t work, Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray ($21.50) is a seaweed extract based product that gives your hair a sexy, salty “sea” texture. Simply spray a couple of spritzes all over your hair and then scrunch away. To refresh your hair throughout the day, continue to spritz and scrunch!

After all that fun in the sun, my skin feels like ill-aged leather so I’m going to need some heavy duty moisturizing. While it definitely has its place in this world, sometimes glitter can be a little tacky. Not Hawaiian Tropic’s Shimmer Effect After-sun Moisturizer in Coconut Papaya ($9.00), though. It’s a subtle beachy scent leaves behind the most flattering hint of a golden sheen.

Oh, and last but not least, I can’t forget to load up on celeb gossip rags!
