Stargazing: Jessica Simpson’s Nursery
It’s funny… when Jessica Simpson first sang “I think I’m in love with you” over an old John Cougar Mellencamp sample in the early 2000’s, she was probably singing about one of Nick Lachey’s predecessors.
But these days, after Newlyweds, after the paparazzi, after that lapse of judgment in dating John Mayer and after launching a seriously cute shoe and clothing line and parlaying it into a judge’s spot on NBC’s Fashion Star, we’re pretty sure she’s singing about somebody else entirely.
Baby Maxwell made her way into the world this year after what seemed like the world’s longest pregnancy, and People magazine quickly jumped at the opportunity to show us a glimpse of her sweet pastel nursery.
Designed by Rachel Ashwell (best known for her Shabby Chic home collection), the space is understated but fit for a princess, and we thought we’d take a quick look back at some of its highlights.
Simpson opted for the Park Avenue crib from Bratt for little Maxwell to get her beauty sleep, while Ashwell used her own “Finn” rocker to give the pop-star-turned-fashionista-turned-hot-mom somewhere to rest as well.
Here’s hoping the new Weight Watchers spokeswoman is sinking into that chair for some much-deserved R&R on a regular basis with the real love of her life on her shoulder.
