Marriage is kind of a big commitment folks.

“No kidding!” you might say…or, “What did you think it was going to be like?!” Well, what I think is that when we all start out on this journey, nothing seems hard. It all kind of falls into place and the relationship is full of excitement, adventure and unending hope for the future.

But then the bumps happen, the kids come along, (and as cute as they are, they do tend to put a kink in the romance), the job layoffs happen and the challenges begin to test the resiliency of your relationship. This is where some relationships begin to falter and break apart.

But, for those of us who are in it for the long haul and who really hope to stick to the commitment we made, and maybe even find our way back to the serene and romantic days (before the chaos of children and high demand jobs), this website I found might be the ticket.

It’s called Project Marriage  - it is run by a team of three fantastic women and I absolutely love the premise of their site:

Project Marriage is an interactive love movement designed to get back to the simple joys of marriage and the love that brought you there.

What you’ll find at Project Marriage is the following:

In short, you’ll want to add this site to your reader and maybe even submit your own story to be shared. The one thing I learned from reading this site is we’re not alone in our marriage ebbs and flows.

We all have highs and lows and we were all in love at the start of it all, so if you’re up for a challenge – consider letting the gals over at Project Marriage inspire you to work on it a bit.

Thank you for the information. It looks like a great site.

They have a good idea behind project marriage. It’s sometimes hard to remember to focus on marriage with kids and life.
