When most people think of Orlando, Florida, their brain automatically conjures up images of Disney World and Mickey Mouse, but there are lots more things to do and places to stay in Orlando than just Disney World. Rosen Shingle Creek is one of the premiere family resorts in Orlando, Florida.

I’ve been to Orlando several times and have always stayed in a Disney Resort, which are amazing, but on this trip we spent a week of our time in the Rosen Shingle Creek resort.

It is an amazing resort for families. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfy/cozy, the showers were hot and the service was top notch.

Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando Florida, Family vacation

It was the perfect resort for our family, with its awesome amenities: four heated pools – lap pool, zero entry family pool, quiet lounging pool, and kiddie wading pool. There are also two hot tubs and many poolside amenities, including a bar and grill.

Shingle Creek also has a spa, golf club and course, two-lighted tennis courts, basketball, sand volleyball, seasonal fishing, nature trails, walking trails and a video arcade on grounds. All situated within a few minutes of Disney World and Universal Studios.

The zero entry family pool was where we spent a majority of our time soaking up the warm Florida sun and frolicking in the refreshing pool after a long day in the Orlando heat.

Shingle Creek Resort also has 10 restaurants on grounds:

  • A Land Remembered
  • Calla Bella
  • 18 Monroe Market
  • Banrai Sushi
  • Tobias Flats and Watering Hole
  • Cat-Tails Pool Bar and Grill
  • Café Osceola and Osceola Bar
  • Headwaters Lounge
  • Smooth Java
  • Creek Ice Creamery
  • Shingle Creek Clubhouse Grille

When we were there, I, personally, tried 18 Monroe Market, Banrai Sushi, Café Osceola, Smooth Java and the Creek Ice Creamery, and all were delicious. The Shingle Creek Resort provides a great variety for even the most discerning taste, offering everything from steak to sushi and anything that you could possibly imagine in between.

We had an amazing stay at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort and would recommend this gorgeous resort to any family that wanted to experience relaxation to the next level.

Where is your favorite family resort?
