Ever wish you could plan impromptu play dates? I know, we used to call that playing. In today’s world, everything has to be scheduled in triplicate. Some times though, you find yourself with no plan and your kid really wants to play with someone else besides you.

I wish there was an app for that. Oh, wait, there is. RedRover is a free, fun and simple way to discover kid-friendly places, find great activities and connect with parent friends on the go.

It’s a way to get back to just playing.

Features:
· Location-sharing
· Lightweight planning
· Instant sharing with Facebook and Twitter
· One touch emergency management
· Photo-sharing
· Filter places nearby by kid-friendly or clean bathroom
· Find fun events (in New York and Chicago – other towns coming soon!)
· Add tips to your favorite locations

What are you waiting for? RedRover is free and it makes life simple. Go and get your play on.

What’s your must have app Mommy app?

Interesting idea. Haven’t heard anything about it until now. Would want to know more or see it in action. Do you just share with friends, or is it a “Kids Are Playing Here” general announcement?

I have signed up before but never got the hang of it and didn’t pursue using the app like I should. Our local moms just have a facebook group but I think something like Red Rover would be much more ideal!
