We are visual beings and we like pretty things. Ever since The Secret came out, the entire world has been on a visual wish board binge sticking and pinning everything our hearts desire in hopes that we could wish it so. Hey, that’s the line of BS The Secret sold me. I had a vision board; now I have Pinterest.

Wait. Do you hear it? The voice of angels singing a chorus of “ ahhhhhh†and a bright light amplifying every single thing that you have ever wanted in your entire life or not known you wanted until you saw it on a pin board. Right there for you to see, to covet, to have to have…to pin.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. You see, you pin to a board of your creation i.e. Dream house, My style, shoes, hair, jewelry, quotes, posts I love, crafts, DIY, recipes, desserts, exercise, cars, dream vacation, etc. You get the picture? Then all of your friends can see your boards and they too can pin their virtual wish list. If they really love you, they may even take a look at your pin board before buying your next birthday gift. Score!
Pinterest is a lot of fun. You can easily waste an entire afternoon pinning. Beware, it is an awesome social media-sharing tool but is absolutely a time suck of epic proportions. The shiny object kind. I don’t know about you but this Mommy brain has me on shiny object high alert.
