Need to Relax? Try Celestial Seasonings Honey Vanilla Chamomile Tea.

I recently started drinking herbal tea every night to wind down from the day. I saw a recommendation online for the Honey Vanilla Chamomile from Celestial Seasonings, so I grabbed some about a month ago and have had a hard time drinking anything else at night since then.

You can find it at almost any grocery store and it’s inexpensive (you can often find coupons in the boxes, too). No matter how you look at it, it’s still cheaper than another popular wind-down alternative, red wine.

I was a little skeptical that this would be as good as the review claimed because a lot of the teas I’ve tried still have that watered down taste, in my opinion, no matter what I do. (Hey, I’m normally a coffee girl and I use cream and sugar with that.) Honey vanilla chamomile didn’t sound like it’d be very impressive in the strong flavor department. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised.

Of the Celestial Seasonings teas I’ve tried, this one seems to have the most flavor and I don’t feel that it tastes watered down at all. I don’t need to add anything to it, either; it’s perfect on its own. It’s got an obvious honey flavor without being too sweet, and it’s a seamless mix of flowery and fruity at the same time.

I don’t know that this tea relaxes me any better than any other herbal tea for sure, but it is a part of my nighttime ritual that I really look forward to for the flavor and warmth. It helps signal to my mind that it’s time for the whirlwind in there to calm down so I can sleep.

Ingredients include: chamomile, orange peel, natural honey flavor with other natural flavors, licorice, roasted chicory, and lemongrass.
