Talk about first world problems! Recently, I read a blurb on a Harvard study that found keeping your tablet propped up at a 35 degree angle could help prevent the dreaded neck and shoulder pain that accompanies craning your neck to get the best view of your tablet. Sounds so easy to remedy, right?
Did you even know there was such a thing? I’ve heard of blogger butt, carpal tunnel syndrome from too much keyboard action, twitchy eyes and headaches from staring at the computer screen for prolonged amounts of time and brain rot from writing incessantly about minutia but now I have to add to the mix, craned neck and shoulders?
Come on. I’m opting for just staying with my desktop and leaving the tablet for my infrequent Bejeweled games.
How about you? Have you experienced the dreaded tablet neck and shoulder pain? If so, keep on with your love affair with your tablet. Rest assured, I will not be asking anyone to chuck his or her iPad, Galaxy, Nook or Kindle out the window; just prop that baby up.
I’m assuming that a $15 case to prop up your tablet will be a lot more affordable than your chiropractor bill for a strained neck and shoulders.
Do you suffer from a tech related injury?
