Kim Kardashian Turns to Cut Carbs to Shed Baby Weight
Kim Kardashian’s post baby weight is in the news again. Personally, I can’t imagine the stress of the world watching as you try to lose those unwanted pounds. According to US Weekly, the reality star has decided to cut out carbohydrates completely to shed weight faster. From the sounds of it, she isn’t just going low carb, but turning to a short-term no carb diet.
The baby’s dad, Kanye West, says that Kim has already lost 40 pounds since the baby’s birth 3 months ago. Kim’s no-carb goal is to shed 10 more pounds fast so she can fit back into her pre-baby jeans. She stayed out of the public eye for the first couple of months following the birth of her daughter, North, because she wanted to lose the extra pounds before stepping into the scrutiny of the media and fans.
A source told US Weekly that Kim grew frustrated with her weight loss efforts in August because she hit a plateau, even though she was eating mostly proteins and veggies. So now she’s cutting out carbs completely? That would mean with her already low-carb diet that she’ll be cutting the veggies for now. “Kim’s determined to stick to the plan,” the source says and that “She finally feels good again.”
Because she is such an iconic personality, she went through intense scrutiny and ridicule while she was pregnant, so I really can’t blame her for wanting to stay under wraps until she’s lost most of her baby weight.
That’s exactly what she’s been doing by wearing strategic coats and oversized accessories – all the tricks we’ve all practiced from time to time, but that changed this week when she stepped out in her signature style on Sept. 25 wearing a tight jumpsuit that showed off her ample assets paired with a pair of sexy suede pumps. She’s looking good!
I think she should stick with her low carb diet, though, instead of cutting out vegetables for a healthier approach to weight loss. What do you think?
