It’s cooling off, so that means you’ll need a couple of throws lying around in your living room. They’re perfect for just pulling over on top of you from the back of the sofa or a chair when it’s finally time to settle down for the evening. They’re also much more attractive than Snuggies or footie pajamas for adults, let’s face it.
Since throws come in all sorts of colors, patterns, textures, and materials, it’s not too challenging to find the right one (or ones) for your home. It may be more difficult to decide which one you want to get.
A throw that looks like a cozy cable knit sweater is one option. If you feel like a solid would fit your room much more than a print, the texture from this type prevents it from being boring. Plus you get the feeling of a (very) oversized sweater. This throw is $140.
There’s also the Navajo print, which is a trend in home décor as well as fashion this season. If your living room could use a little pizazz because it’s pretty much an empty slate with very few patterns, this could be your option. Expect to pay around $50 or $60.
Finally, if you’re fine with solids but need to find the perfect color, the fringed selection at West Elm comes in several different ones. There are also stripe and border throws in a range of shades. These are also some of the less expensive throws, at $29.
There’s nothing worse than sitting down to watch television, read, or knit at the end of the day, only to realize you’re freezing and there aren’t any blankets or throws handy. They’ll also add some color to your living room, allowing you to update your décor without making a huge change.
