With all due respect to the rest of the wild kingdom, birds are kind of hot right now. In fact, there’s even a Portlandia skit called “Put a Bird On It” that lampoons the emerging trend of festooning everything from pillows and lampshades to dresses and headbands with aviary accents. Still, let’s be honest: birds are beautiful, and we like all the things they stand for — flight… freedom… reaching great heights with total abandon.
So today, we’ve pulled together a series of home accents that, indeed, put a bird on it and make us want to snap them up and adorn our houses and apartments with them.
