Help with Laundry on the Go
I don’t know about you, but the best thing about having an iPhone is the ability to download a ton of different apps on it, some of which are essential (Yelp) and some of which are not (Pac-man).
I like apps that help me to get things done quicker so I have more time to spend on important things. Like Words with Friends.
The thing I hate most about laundry has to be dealing with stains. It seems like the minute I put on a new shirt or a new pair of way cool colored jeans, a spot appears out of nowhere and takes up permanent residence.
There are several apps for your smart phone that have been created to help with laundry issues. One of my favorites is the free Clorox myStain app. It allows you to look up the type in the stain you are dealing with and get instructions and tips for the best way of getting rid of it.
For example, I looked up beer stain and it had what to do immediately to keep the stain from setting, and then how to wash it with a special note about not machine drying until the stain was completely gone.
So, the next time I am at a party and someone sloshes beer down my shirt, I will know to run to the bathroom, remove my shirt, rinse it in cold water from the back, and then wear a damp shirt the rest of the evening.
It also has laundry advice including a handy interpretation of those irritating symbols on the care labels. If you get bored while waiting for your laundry to get done, it also has a little spin game.
