Gold Cuffs Are Mom-Friendly Bracelets

Do you miss wearing jewelry? That’s one of the things I missed most after I had my daughter (well, that and my pillow). I was always afraid to wear my bracelets, earrings, and necklaces because I was afraid she’d pull on them and break them.

One of fall’s trends coincides perfectly with a mom’s need to wear chic, pretty jewelry that isn’t so dainty that it’s threatening to break at the slightest pull of a baby or toddler. In some cases, it might not even bend.

Sure, you could find a few to spend a fortune on, but a lot of these are very affordable, especially if you look at gold-tone styles rather than 10k gold or something covered in Swarovski crystals.

The Kenneth Cole New York Gold Cuff Bracelet (above) is only $38 and looks like it could stand up to aggressive little hands.

There’s also a 14k Rose Gold-Plated Lattice Cuff Bracelet from Toscana that’s inexpensive and glows a pinkish gold instead of yellow gold.

Anywhere you look—the mall (check juniors’ stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe), Overstock, etc. – that sells jewelry will most likely have some variation on the gold cuff this fall. Yellow and rose gold are especially “in” for the season.

Of course, all the major department stores will have them, too, but unless you catch them during a sale, you may do better elsewhere unless you just want high quality items to wear for decades.

If you’re a mom to a little one and you still love jewelry, fully anticipate living in your bracelet. It’ll add a little bit of “pretty” back into any outfit.
