Have you read this book? Go the F*ck to Sleep was just sent in the mail to us by my husband’s brother and his wife. Like most of you, I had heard of it when it was first released.

We all heard the jokes that Samuel L. Jackson should read the audiobook but I had not actually read the book.

I have now read the book, through tears of laughter. Go the F*ck to Sleep is so funny because it is a bedtime truth for many parents. I know it has been our bedtime ritual many a night in the past 7 years. It was written with a pinch of snark, a bunch of funny and a whole lot of honesty.

Go the F*ck to Sleep is written by Adam Mansback and illustrated by Ricardo Cortes. It is a bedtime story for parents. Please don’t read this book to your children. Read Go the F*ck to Sleep quietly after they go to bed, in a far off corner of the house so that your fits of laughter don’t disturb their slumber.

I am quite sure that this book will be around for many years to come. As long as there are exhausted parents trying to get their rambunctious over-tired children to bed, this book will be timely.

If you’ve not had the chance to read Go the F*ck to Sleep for yourself, I highly suggest that you get to your nearest book store and by a copy for yourself and any parent that you think might need the chuckle through their exhausted blur of parenthood. Sweet dreams.

I attended the Book Expo of America last May and met both the author and illustrator and walked away with a signed copy! When I arrived home, I proudly displayed the book in my built in book case high above the head of my daughter who can read and my son who is just getting there. It’s a great book and fun to pass around to other parents!
