Getting away with your girlfriends is key to sanity for many of us who are spending our days with toddlers pulling at pant legs and/or with stressful workloads demanding our time – so in addition to nurturing our relationships with our spouses, we sometimes just need a getaway with the girls.
So where should a group of gals meet up for a long weekend away? Below I have a list of fantastic options to consider depending on what you’re in the mood for.
Savannah Versus  Charleston
Both of these locations are on the east coast in the southern region of the United States and each have their own merits and charm. If you’re looking for cities by the sea with a little bit of history, and maybe even a little haunted tour, then Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina are two options to consider. With their charming downtown areas to shop, local eateries to please your palette and tons of fun, your group will leave relaxed, recharged and satisfied.

This is a perfect, everything is done for you vacation. Pick a cruise itinerary, hop on for a few days and enjoy…preferably with a cold beverage in hand and the kids with the grandparents or dad at home. Enjoy sailing the seas catching up about what’s going on in your lives – believe me, you’ve missed those chats.

Resorts like Sandals and Beaches offer Girlfriend Getaways for four days at many of their resorts and it’s the perfect leisurely long weekend away with everything included. No muss, no fuss – just the way you need it to be when life around you is so hectic normally.
