Gentlemint is Pinterest for the not so fairer sex. The site is a visual pin board, very much like Pinterest but it is geared towards men. On its opening page it even states Gentlemint is a mint of manly things. I think that sentence alone contradicts the tagline, but what do I know. It looks like fun, even if it does sound a little like we should be calling it Gentle Ben instead.
I could definitely be wrong, as I have not yet been privy to an invite into the exclusive boy’s club. Think of it as the cigar and brandy clubs of the Internet. Well, maybe it’s more like the frat houses. I don’t really know, as I said I’ve not gotten my beta invite yet.
American Moustache Institute is quoted as saying, “…(Gentlemint) is one of the more manly websites on the planet.â€Â
I think it’s awesome; now my husband can finally understand the concept behind Pinterest and leave me to do my pinning of vintage fashion and dream home furniture in peace. You know, because he’ll be busy pinning conspiracy theories, foreign beers, hot girls and the latest tech gadgets. Win, win!
Bonus: You know how we pin all those really awesome fashion pieces, jewelry, shoes and amazing vacations? I always secretly hope that the Big Guy will have the initiative to peruse my boards and surprise me with a dream vacation to my multi-pinned Santorini. He never does, but now I have a definitive source of great gift ideas for him and guilt goes a long way…maybe even all the way to Santorini.
