A fresh hair cut is a great way to spruce up your look and make you feel great. If you’re looking to experiment with length, the summer months are a great time to try out those shorter cuts to see if they work for you.
Just remember that hair does grow back, so if you cut off a few inches, chances are, it will be back by winter. Below are some options to consider:
Pixie ShortÂÂ
Halle Berry and Ginnifer Goodwin have both mastered the short pixie cut and it looks fantastic on both of them. This short cut, while seemingly simple, would likely require attention to texture and piecing of the hair around the head to make it look just right, but as a mother who has no time for the hair drying evolution, I think I could build time into my schedule for a bit of styling this way.
I’m guessing it would take a bit less time to accomplish than other styling depending on your hair type. This may not work so well with someone who has naturally curly hair, for example.
Bob with/without side-swept bangs
A short, layered bob with side-swept bangs like Ginnifer Goodwin is sporting in the second picture is adorable and perfect for the summer months as we begin to heat up.
Rhianna’s version without bangs and layers is another take on the short bob that looks sleek and stylish. Wear it straight or with some wave – either way its chic and for a mother running around, short can be a good route to take.
Medium or long layers with/without side-swept Bangs
Long layers with bangs like Reese Witherspoon is wearing here is always in style, or you can pull a classic Jennifer Aniston long layered look either just at your shoulders or longer but without the bangs.
Just make sure to get a good trim every couple of months to keep the look fresh and beautiful at all times. Highlights are a personal choice to add into the mix depending on your budget and time allowed for being in the salon.
Which of these cuts would you consider trying?ÂÂ
