No matter how old you are or how many kids you have, keeping up with makeup trends from season to season helps you to look your best. For Fall 2012, that means that you want to have bright eye makeup in a variety of colors.
- First, you will need to prime your eyes with a primer. This will help the color go on smoother and stay on longer.
- Next, start at the lash line with the shade of your choice and sweep the bright color up to the crease.
- Blend a dark, matte color in a complimentary shade in the crease and then add mascara and liner.
Be careful with red tones, pinks, and oranges. They can make your eyes look tired.
Once you get used to wearing a single bright color, you can experiment with using two or three brights and blending them on the lid. Try blending purple, blue, and turquoise for peacock colors. Add a bright eyeliner across the lid and just under the bottom lash line, and then a few coats of black mascara for drama.
When you are wearing bright shadows, keep the rest of your make up neutral or you will look like a six year old that got into your mama’s make up drawer. Pale, natural lips with a little gloss, a light touch with the blush, and a French manicure will have you looking fabulous and up to date.
Colors to try this fall are:
- Cobalt blue
Spend an afternoon experimenting at a makeup counter or with your own makeup. Practice until you get a look you love.
