Ask anyone in my family and they will tell you that I am the messiest nail polisher ever born. I am so bad that my husband and 16 year old both take pity on me and do my nails for me when they see me struggling to paint a straight line – on the nail not the finger.
I love looking at all the cool designs people paint on their nails. Pinterest is full of fingernail art like cupcakes, watermelon, and almost anything you can imagine. I can look but not replicate.
Well I just saw another option – nail decals.
Sure I have seen the pink zebra ones on the nail polish aisle but they didn’t have the artsy unique look that I love on Pinterest. Looking at Etsy the other day I came across a shop with some really unique designs. Since it’s October they had lots of Halloween related decals – skeletons, candy corn, and vampires to name a few.  I love the candy corn decals because candy corn is one of my guilty pleasures this time of year.
The decals from this shop are water slide decals. You cut them out, dip them in water, and then lay them over your freshly top coated nails. Add a top coat over the decal and they will last about a week. Since the decals are not the adhesive type they are gentle on your nails, which is great if you have weak nails like I do.
I just think it would be fun to have special nail decals to wear on Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and other special days.
Have you used decals? What did you think?
You can find these at ChaChaCovers on Etsy.
