It’s date night and you and your significant other need a good flick to watch for the evening, so I’ve compiled a list of potential contenders.
There are those with the  Gratuitous Hot Guys like Crazy Stupid Love with Ryan Gosling and his six pack…

But, I guess it’s possible the husband won’t appreciate Ryan Gosling’s abs.
For the record, he’s a good actor. I swear. And, it’s on this list because the movie is pretty hysterical while being heartfelt and romantic at the same time. I would watch it again for all of those reasons…in addition to Ryan’s abs.
{ahem}
Our Reader Recommendations from the Smart Moms Facebook Page and  Twitter (as well as a few other personal sources) gave the following options:
Date Night with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, a comedy about a married couple who attempts a big night out only to have it ruined by a case of mistaken identity. Of course, the hilarity of it all is heightened by the talent that is the combination of Steve and Tina together.
Definitely one that I’ve had on my list and need to watch soon.
Friends with Benefits is one that I have not yet seen, but readers swore by it as a worthwhile date night flick. So for my next date night, it’s a consideration – even though dare I say it out loud – J. T. is not on the list of guy favorites. {gasp!} Please don’t send hate mail. I love him on SNL, he’s just not crush-worthy in my mind.

Oldies but Goodies
You have to add in some classic, oldie but good romantic movies like Legends of the Fall – who doesn’t love a young Brad Pitt?
Add in the old west, brotherly conflicts, war and passionate love and you have the perfect date night movie.
In the Theatres:  The Lucky One
If you can make it out for the night and your husband will stomach a mushy, Nicholas Sparks movie for the sake of a romantic night – then the Lucky One is the latest romantic flick out right now. I don’t know about you, but it’s on my list.
What’s your favorite date night movie?ÂÂ
