They say what’s old is new again and does that make me happy. There are a lot of styles that I would like to see come back into style; the neon of the 80’s are not one of them.
Bell-bottoms, I still think I can pull off. Of course, when I wore them, they were on their second time around already. But the espadrille wedge is something I adore. Espadrilles I can wear all day long and since they are back in style, that just makes them easier to find.
You know the rule: if you lived through a style once, you are too old to wear it the second time it comes around. That may fit for many things; especially those lacy bandeau tops that we wore under baggy tank tops in the 80’s, with a belt no less, that have made their way back onto the racks of our favorite department stores. But I have been finding the cutest espadrille wedges, everywhere I go.
The espadrille wedge is so versatile and can be worn with just about any outfit in any situation. Though, I would not recommend wearing them with a tracksuit but aren’t those out already, anyways.
My recommendation for this summer: every woman should have in her possession a neutral pair of espadrille wedges. There is a wide variety to choose from but my absolute favorite pair that I have found for this summer is the Mossimo Pam Wedge at Target for only $24.99.
I adore these shoes and have worn them with everything from dress shorts to sundresses, mini dresses and maxi dresses and everything in between. They rock, and my only regret is that I didn’t buy three pairs when I had the chance because I am fairly certain these babies will be worn out by the end of the summer.
