ARTKIVE is a brand spanking new app that every mom needs. It’s the easiest and fastest way to chronologically store, share and print your child’s artwork or schoolwork.

If you are like me, you have a mountain of kids drawings and papers. I just feel so guilty if I ever throw anything away that my girls create, so I keep everything. Everything. You do too, right?

Each piece of artwork is usually handcrafted with such love and care and handed to me as a gift. How could I possibly disregard any of it? How could I choose? It’s like choosing between your children. Honestly, it’s like saying “I don’t care.” Or at least that is what I am afraid it will be construed as, and so I hang on to everything.

We’re only in grades 2 and kindergarten and I already see myself heading down the mommy art project hoarder path. I’m a little afraid. I’ve seen the show. I know how this works.

Soon enough, I will have 13 cats living in the school papers and artwork and I won’t even know they are living there. This can all be avoided with a simple little amazing app called ARTKIVE.

You never have to feel guilty again about throwing away artwork your kids bring home. Get rid of the clutter and start to enjoy your child’s work.

It’s super easy to use.

Create a photo account and add the first names and grades of your children. It took me literally about 2 minutes total.

Take photos of your children’s artwork or upload from your camera roll.

Tag the photo with your child’s name, grade, date and title. (Just like Facebook)

Share with your family and friends. It’s very simple and very cool.

Features:

Clean up that hoarding addiction and Artkive old artwork by simply entering the child’s grade and set the date created to blank. It will only save the name, grade & whatever description you add without auto dating.

Currently Artkive is only available for iOS. Just one more reason to get an iPhone or iPad.

Everything you enter is backed up to the cloud every day. Once a week, the back ups are backed up and stored in a different place.

Your kids will love flipping through their Artkives to see their creations from years past.

Best of all, it’s free for a very limited time.

How is it different from other photography apps and why would I recommend this particular app for your phone or iPad?

  1. Images that you’re saving of your child’s artwork are important — by entering them into ARTKIVE, it’s easy to keep track of them and keep them separate from the multitude of other photos you have taken.
  2. A “plaque” is attached to each piece of artwork at the bottom of each image that shows which child created the artwork, what grade they are/were in, the date created, and a title just like you’d see in a gallery.
  3. ARTKIVE will turn your child’s artwork into a book. If you are like me, you will never get around to it if left to your own devices.

Have you tried ARTKIVE? Why not?
