My son recently asked if he could send a letter to the North Pole for Santa Claus. When he asked, I remembered somebody forwarding me an email about how to do it, but of course I couldn’t find it! Then I remembered that I posted it on my blog last year and now I want to share it with you. But I’m not only going to tell you how to get a letter postmarked from the North Pole, I’m also going to give you other ways to get in touch with Santa!

Get A Letter From Santa, Postmarked From The North Pole

The best part about getting a letter postmarked from the North Pole this way is that you write the return letter. That means you can get as creative and personalized as you want!

Here’s how to do it:
1. Have your child (or help your child) write a letter to Santa.
2. Write a Santa letter for return to your child. Hint: Make sure to write about something important in your child’s life that was not mentioned in the letter…something that Santa would only know if he was watching.

3. Put your Santa letter (the one to be sent back to your child) in a a stamped envelope with your child’s name and address on it. Write “North Pole” as the return address. Place that envelope in a larger envelope with the child’s letter to Santa in it.
4. Send the large envelope (with the envelope that will be delivered back to your child inside of it) to this address:
North Pole Christmas Cancellation
ATTN: Postmaster
5400 Mail Trail
Fairbanks, Alaska 99709-9999
5. As long as your letter is mailed and received in Alaska by December 15th, your child will receive the letter Santa wrote back to him with a real North Pole postmark on it!

Portable North Pole

The Portable North Pole asks you some questions about your child and to upload a picture and then a live Santa talks to your child. You enter your email address and they’ll notify you when it is ready to be viewed! The cost? It’s free!

The Santa Video

You can create a video of Santa in your home! With The Santa Video, you upload a picture of a room in your home, and with a few other steps, you create a video This one costs $14.95 per video, but it’s proof that Santa has been in your home!

We definitely do NORAD on our iPhones and a local charity is raising money by sending letters from Santa, too.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the link to the Portable North Pole! I just did it and it turned out GREAT! I can’t wait to see my son’s expression when I show him his own video message from Santa tomorrow (when he wakes up!)

I would never have known about this site if you hadn’t listed it. Thanks! :D

You should put emailsanta.com on your list too. It is the only one where kids can send their emails to Santa on Christmas Eve. The reply is VERY personalized (unlike the The Official Santa Claus Naughty or Nice List — sadly kids old enough to read will spot that as a fake in a second). – Jamie
