Being a mom often means that we are short on time and working with a limited budget, so when it comes to our own beauty regimen it’s tough to justify spending a ton.
What that shouldn’t mean is that we can’t take care of ourselves or look great – so while there are some products that you just have to spend money on – here are five that I use regularly, all under $5.
Yes…for real.
Burt’s Bee’s Lip BalmÂ
This is my all time favorite lip balm. I always go for the Pomegranate because of how it feels when I put it on – it’s very refreshing to me. Additionally, it offers a bit of tint being that the color of the balm is a pomegranate hue. I also like that it is made up of entirely natural ingredients and still falls under that $5 price point. SCORE!
Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish
I recently came across a magenta version of this Revlon Top Speed nail polish and I must say I love it. Two coats and you look like you just stepped out of the nail salon.
The best part, it dries quickly and it’s around $4 a bottle. What I love about that is oftentimes, the bright colors like the one you see pictured are very ‘on trend’ and may not be in favor next season or even next month – so dropping under $5 makes me more comfortable with that purchase.
Rimmel London Mascara
I love a great mascara that thickens up my lashes and allows me to have that fake lash look without going through all the trouble and this fits that bill. Perk up your morning look with adding a bit of mascara or finish up a smoky cat eye to ensure a bit of glamour for a big night out – either way, this budget-friendly mascara is great.
Neutrogena Makeup Cleansing Wipes (25 count)
These wipes are my all-time favorite quick-clean item for make-up when I’m on the go or I’m too tired to go through the whole process of washing.
This quickly wipes away eye make-up, concealer and any other make-up that you may have on so you can head to bed without much fuss. I always have these on hand at home and I most certainly have them on travel.
Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer
Dark circles and the rogue pimple that threatens to show off just how exhausted you are, or the fact that your hormones may be out of whack from your monthly visitor, can be hidden with this concealer.
I don’t have this particular concealer in my possession, but what I like about it is it’s thick tip to give you solid coverage under your eyes. Mama doesn’t get much sleep these days, and this is perfect for faking that wide-awake look.
All of these products are fantastic and help to make your beauty regimen budget friendly and easy – so pick a few up because beauty shouldn’t go by the wayside because you’re a mom, and it shouldn’t break the bank either.
